3rd Edition of Fashion Forward to Launch on April 10

Middle East’s fashion capital, Dubai, is once again preparing to fascinate style lovers. The third edition of the bi-annual platform Fashion Forward will be held from April 10 to 13 at the Madinat Jumeirah. Besides the lineup of famous local designers and brands, the third season will present several new faces to its audience alongside the various forums, talks, and panel discussions.

Fashion Forward was launched last year as a massive bi-annual event, incorporating presentations from local and regional established and emerging designers, discussion panels and talks with industry professionals, workshops, parties, and even shopping opportunities. With its short history of only two editions, Fashion Forward (FFWD) managed to demonstrate its importance for the fashion industry not only in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, but in the entire region, as well. The third season promises to be just as successful, with a brilliant catalogue of designers and labels making their debut on the FFWD catwalks.

The third edition will be held for four days at the Madinat Jumeirah, starting on 10th April, and will present returning labels House of Ronald, Kage, Lebanese Zayan The Label, Fillipines’ Furne One and designer Ezra Santos, Rami Kadi, Dubai fashion house Taller Marmo, Indian designer Essa, and others. FFWD debutes will include Lebanese designer Jean Louis Sabaji, the three brothers behind brand Velsvoir – Zac, Zubir, Said Mahrouf, and Talha Timol, Saudi designer Lamia Asudari and her Asudari Studio, as well as two Emirati labels – Zareena by Zareena Yousuf and the two sisters Reem and Hind Beljafla, responsible for creating the brand DAS.

Alongside the fashion shows, various other events will educate and entertain the visitors. Organizers have prepared discussion panels and talks with international designers, marketing specialists, retailers, magazine editors, hair and make-up stylists, bloggers and many others. The talks and forums focus on the different issues and opportunities standing before the fashion industry in the Middle East today – what are the trends, how is it developing, what defines success, what role is the fashion industry playing in the local economy? Those were major themes at the previous edition of FFWD, and next month, all designers and consumers, buyers and the media, will gather in quest for even more.
