Dina JSR Fashion Show

Last of Thursday catwalk shows is the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of Lebanese designer Dina JSR.

Raised in Saudi Arabia, graduated from London’s Central Saint Martins and the Gemology Institute of America, and traveled around Europe, Dina JSR has gathered her inspiration from an array of cultures and styles. After a ten-month internship at Rabih Kayrouz, she has apparently learned the importance of architecture and detail of clothing.

Her collections are mainly inspired by fine lines and geometric precision. JSR’s designs include evening and cocktail wear, characterized by edgy, sharp designs with small details that underline the female body. The silhouettes are surprisingly delicate and feminine, balanced with folds, spirals, and revealing tight lines. She admits her collections were inspired by architects such as Santiago Calatrava, or Mario Botta.

The hottest looks from Dina JSR’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection can be seen here.
